Photograph Taken On Sunday, June 12, 1983

XR679/04, Hunting P.84 Jet Provost T.Mk.4 (CN PAC/W/21624) of 79 Squadron Royal Air Force seen at the RAF Church Fenton SSAFA International Air Display on 12 June 1983. Originally delivered in July 1963, the aircraft was in the last pair of T-4's to fly in service in March 1989 (with 1 TWU at the time). Transferred to RAF Cosford as an instructional airframe - 8991M - the aircraft then went to Global Aviation at Binbrook where it returned to flight as G-BWGT in 1994 sporting a range of outlandish colour schemes and appearing on the display circuit. Sold to Canada as C-FDTP in March 2009, the aircraft is airworth and active with the Jet Age Museum at London, Onterio. Scanned from an original 35 mm colour transparency via Hasselblad X-5.View image on Flickr
