XF431/O, Hawker Hunter FGA-9 (CN S4/U/3307) of No 1 Tactical Weapons Unit, Royal Air Force seen at the RAF Church Fenton SSAFA International Air Display on 12 June 1983. Originally delivered in November 1956, the aircraft was sold back to BAe in April 1987 for onward supply to the Air Force of Zimbabwe as 1811. Withdrawn from use in February 1998, it is preserved at the Chinese Aviation Museum, Changping District, Beijing, China as shown in this image by Dave Collins: www.flickr.com/photos/124558024@N02/32460412987/in/photol... . The fate of the inflatable elephant is unknown other than it was let down badly by its owners. Scanned from an original 35 mm colour transparency via Hasselblad X-5.View image on Flickr
