Hatfield Hatfield House, Hertfordshire, England

Hatfield Photo: a fantastic Hatfield Photograph Featuring Hatfield House, Hertfordshire, England

Photograph Taken On Saturday, May 18, 2013

Hatfield House, north of London, has been the seat of the Marquesses of Salisbury for over 400 years. It is the home of many treasures including royal historical artifacts, unique portraits of Queen Elizabeth I, tapestries and artwork. This photo shows its main front and lawn. Sadly, no photos were allowed inside when I visited. The bronze cannon is not a permanent feature on the lawn. It was in fact a temporary 2013 art installation by Bill Woodrow named 'Endeavour: Cannon Dredged from the First Wreck of the Ship of Fools'.View image on Flickr
