About to pass Parbold Signal Box, in coal sector markings , Class 60, No 60046 'William Wilberforce' is seen working on Northenden to Appley Bridge 'binliner'. The train initially operated to either Burscough Bridge or Southport Station to allow the loco to run round the train, so when it arrives at Appley Bridge, the train then reverses into the siding to be unloaded. Fortunately 60046 still survives today with DCR in plain grey livery and happy to say, still with her name. 14th May 1992.
