Edinburgh Route diverted! Lothian 1058 on Annandale Street, Edinburgh

Edinburgh Photo: a fantastic Edinburgh Photograph Featuring Route diverted! Lothian 1058 on Annandale Street, Edinburgh

Photograph Taken On Monday, July 13, 2020

Lothian’s Route 10 returned on 12th July 2020 having been dropped when the operator introduced its first Coronavirus Critical Service timetable at the end of March. However, with Leith Walk partially closed for tramway construction, the route has had to be diverted. The vehicle has just turned left off Leith Walk into Annandale Street and a driver changeover has just taken place in front of this impressive early 19th Century tenement. Further down the street, the vehicle will pass the operator’s Central Garage, before regaining its usual outward route in Leith via Bellevue Road, McDonald Road, Broughton Road and Bonnington Road. The route 10 terminus is a housing development on reclaimed land in the Port of Leith. This picture was taken on day 112 of the Coronavirus lockdownView image on Flickr
