Firth of Tay The view from Seabraes

Firth of Tay Photo: a fantastic Firth of Tay Photograph Featuring The view from Seabraes

Photograph Taken On Saturday, June 15, 2019

Still mining some images from the June visit to Scotland, and this shot catches a Scotrail HST climbing up towards the Tay Bridge as she departs Dundee with the 11.02am Aberdeen - Edinburgh (1B24), running some 4 minutes down on schedule. Power car 43140 is nearest the camera, with 43163 heading the train at the sharp end. In fact 43163 is just about to pass the timber platforms of the rather short-lived Dundee Esplanade Station, which can just be made out at the top of the ramp - the station opened in 1889 but closed 50 years later in 1939. Taken from the Seabraes footbridge linking the city to the Tesco Superstore behind me, and the waterfront. 12.15pm, 15th June 2019View image on Flickr
